If there were better choices, I would definitely be out voting.

However, since we only get Dems and nothing else to choose from this time around, I think I'll pass.

This election is one where I will vote againsed the one I dislike the most. I found a spectacular candidate in Bush the last 2 times and I have been in strong agreement with just about every decision he's made. We have no one with a spine this time around. I guess if none of them has the balls to actually do anything then nothing bad will happen. So perhaps in 4 or 8 years we can get some real candidates and then we can actually resume doing anything at all again. And yes I am talking about dems and repubs alike. Mit Romney seems promising idealogically but everyone thinks he will infringe on religious rights and I don't think he can win. So we'll have another prez that is swayed easily by public opinion again and the media will cream themselves. It'll be like 2 congresses. Hippies rejoice lets all drop acid and lay in the grass. Us Ragen conservatives will just wait until the hype dies. It won't take long.

Out of just the dems I honestly think that Richardson was the best guy for the job but everyone knew that it wasn't happening from the start. Right now however Id say Obama is a well rounded democrat who is down to earth and reasonable. When I first saw him in 2000 and again in 2004 I thought both times that guy could be president.

I dont like liberals, and find that it is much

I'd be, too, but then I wouldn't get to vote in the primaries. It seems unfair that you have to basically promise to vote for only the Donkeys or the Elephants to cast yer vote. I think it would be a lot more open to allow voters to choose the best candidate of all rather than the best candidate in "their" party. I mean, what if a registered Republican wants to vote for Clinton or a registered Dem for Ron Paul? Not all Dems are "liberals" nor all Repubs "conservative," yet that's the line they'd like us all to draw. "Moderates" exist only in the imagination, right?

I watched "Life After Humans" A couple of nights after watching the Dem and Rep debates. I'm ok with that...I say, the sooner the better.

I have yet to work up a real lather of rage on this election. It's been a long time since I've been an idealist and I hate them all. Don't get me wrong, this is still the best country to live in. More paperwork is sure to solve it). It's the worst of both worlds, it's corporate socialism PLUS entitlement programs. Where's a Goldwater when you need one? Is Ron Paul the closest thing left? Why is Exxon getting subsidies while making more money than anything in history? How does it feel to know that as gas prices go up, your taxes are also going to these guys (not even counting the wars)? Why are we bailing out people stupid enough to buy houses basically with a credit card? (and not doing anything about the shady lenders? WTF?)

Speaking of "easily swayed by public opinion," is is just me or this NOT John McCain? I feel like he's saying things directly contradicted in his previous failed attempt. His straight-talker rep is gone, and he's just playing the game like all the rest.

Obama has the feel of a president, inspiring and stedfast. Too bad he's never really done anything that makes me feel like I know what his real positions are on most topics. He harps on how he oppsed the war from the start, but it was pretty easy to do that being that he had no say in it. He's never had his back against a wall and been forced to make tough or bad choices. So far he's been immune to peer pressure, but what happens when shit goes down? His commercials seem to imply that he stands for taking away my kid's TV, but I can't get much else off of him that isn't a speech. I feel like he should have waited at the very least.

Hilary. She is smart and tough, not the "woman" implied by backhanded commentators. Still... I know this is a stupid reason to make a choice, and it isn't my only reason, but: I don't like her. She makes me think of the mean moms of the upper middle class kids who lived by the river in my small town, the kid who had a living room you could never actually use. It's all lip service hiding distain. Also, anytime she takes an unpopular stand she backs off and qualifies and leaves people working for real change holding the bag.

Ultimately I think the separation of powers and elections were designed well to keep government weak and ineffectual. If they spend the next 4+ years fighting and getting nothing done and flip-flopping, I think that's the best thing for us. I don't know that I want a strong president with a spine. I'll probably vote for someone I hate based on one social issue and a protest vote. Go Democracy!

I own both a subaru and Volkswagen. I drop Acid. I like Grass. I am a liberal. Aside from the Willie Nelson ticket, I like Obama. He was my rep back in Chicago. He lived next to my Mom. His kids go to my old school. He's smart. For fuck's sake he smart. That's what I would like. Just for a while. Could we have someone at the head of our nation that didn't sound like such a dumbass all the time. Voting is important. This is the first primary I've ever seen where it could matter. That's rad. I have family (2)over there, one in Afganistan, and one in Iraq, what you people dont know, is that those innocent little children, have fucking AK 47's, and know how to use them. A 12 year old boy in the middle east is considered a man. I have seen pictures of these "innocent little children (with ak 47's), and my brother has actually been shot at by many of them. Just thought you might want to know that before you go thinking about how innocent they all are.
