The most awful thing about the fire is the best things about the Golden West (the space itself) is now lost forever. We all had our beef with aspects of the Golden West but it was never about the room, it was always stuff that could have been easily fixed.

I'm hoping that we all can turn this experience into something positive for the scene. I kinda wish we wouldn't have been on the road this weekend (ok, maybe not ) but I've been getting more of a sense of unity from the music scene here that has been absent for way, way too long. It's really time we all put aside our differences and help each other out more. We are all in this together and everything is connected.

The Launchpad will be back and hopefully it will be better than ever. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an entirely new PA system but we'll have to wait and see what the future holds.
