Unit 7 Drain has been playing 3 to 5 shows a month for the past 9 years! We have released seven studio albums, including this months LoveCraft, (our pride and joy, available at Natural Sound) a live album, an eight track cartridge, a b-sides compilation, we've been on 10+ compilation records. We have played with Spoon, The Faint, J. Mascis, The Shins, The Epoxies, The Prids, The Oktober People, Black Maria, Volume Volume and more! We have done shows in L.A, San Francisco, Portland Austin, Dallas, Oakland, El Paso, Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Belen, Socorro, Santa Fe, Clovis, Phoenix, Denton, Sabinal and others. We are ALREADY working on a new record! And this one is going to be TOTALLY self recorded produced and mastered. We will be releasing the new disc (no name yet) on Socyermom records at our TEN YEAR anniversary party show. This show is scheduled for March of 2009! But folks, until March of 2009 Unit 7 Drain will be taking a break from live performance!!!! Yeah, we know it's crazy to imagine a week in which you don't at least have the OPTION of seeing U7d play live. But because of several factors: I is for Ida, Downtown Scooter, kids, travel, old age, we are taking a little break. WE WILL BE BACK! And we'll see you then. In the meantime Harry, Tony, and Chris will be playing in a new band called: THE WORLD ON FYRE. Go out and check them out, they practice drunk and infrequently, and have communication issues. Or of course you can still see Harry, Ella, and Chris in "I is for Ida", and Little Bobby in "Shoulder Voices". U7d will miss you bastards. (but not for long).
