I have been wondering how long you have actually been in Albuquerque? I'm guessing not that long, as you are here more through design than choice*. The point being, you are one hustling mofo! I'm seriously impressed with your energy and drive to promote not just your band, but also the orginizing of events, and the promotion thereof. Is this something you have done in other cities with other bands? Are you thinking of going into this kind of marketing/promo stuff once the war is over**?

Fuckin thanks bro! You get cooler and cooler everytime we speak.. And I have lived here 4 1/2 years. I'm originally from the Boston Providence area up there in the Northeast. Anyway this is my first stab at promoting anything and seems that I do have a knack for it! Infact I'm quite entralled and infatuated with it. I started school about three weeks ago majoring in Information Technology Visual Design and hope to persue a career in promotions and managing. I used to have a band back about 8 years ago called Deadleg. It was a punk band that was mostly for fun and our bas player actually did our promoting shit. And I plan on getting out in about 4 years I've already done 5 and I'd like to finish school before I get out. (Since it is free and all) That is the only reason I joined in the first place. Before that my family lived on welfare for most of my life and I had to get out of it. Anyways that's about it lived here 4 and a half years and yes I plan on getting out to do promotions.

Right on, Geoff. Thanks for sharing that. I admire people like you that consciously try and better their life. And the way you are going with all the promotion stuff you are doing, you will probably go far in the entertainment/music world. Organization skills, networking and persistant follow through are rare traits in most musicians. In fact, it seems that people who get into that line of work are often more successful than the actual musicians. I wish you much success in that endevour. I think you have what it takes...drive and a great attitude. Plus you really come of as a personable individual, capable of dealing with all sorts of personality types. Another plus when considering that field of work. The Winterlockers (and the scene) are lucky to have you.
