He has all the fun, I jam the same 7/8 (or whatever time sig) riff for hours.

Speaking of riffs, does anyone have an exact definition of what a "lick" is. I like to use the term "sweet licks" but I want to be confident that I am using it correctly.

I hate to take this on a tangent, but also, what exactly does one have to do to become a "cat" ?
