There are a lot of other fine cheap spirits on the market- competitors so to speak. Like "Passport" scotch.
However, none of these make you want to speak in a Scottish accent or get into a fist fight for no reason. |

THey may or may not have MacAllan's specifically, but they'll have a super-premium, top-shelf scotch, guaranteed. I've had Johnny Green, but never the Blue. Like 30 bones a shot. I find that generally you'll pay a buck for each year at the bar. The Balvenie 15 is fucking superb. Actually, any of The Balvenie's blends are superb. Glenmorangie is nice. The MacAllan 12 is also excellent. Nothing less than a $12 shot on that list. Sigh. Even though it's not 'technically' a scotch, Bushmills Black or 10 for me, mostly. mmm...Bushmills...Jim Morrison drank a lot of Bushmills.
