Have any of you seen/heard Devil Riding Shotgun lately? They are officially a Force To Be Reckoned With!

Seriously.

These fuckers are really, really good. They obviously practice and write like crazy, and their stage presence reflects a bond that goes beyond music and into that unspoken communication thing that happens when musicians are good friends.

Plus they are all punishingly adept at their instruments of choice.

I/we were at their first gig, and have followed the progress of these post-atomic minstrels. I for one am stoked, proud and in the words of a certain colleague ,
"Fuck! Those guys are really good. Makes me want to practice more often..."

What I'm sayin' is,

DEVIL RIDING SHOTGUN PRESS RELEASE: 6/1/07


Albuquerque, New Mexico heavy rock trio Devil Riding Shotgun has completed a self-titled debut album and will be officially releasing it on June 22, 2007. DRS is Neb Fixico (bass/vocals), Alan Edmonds (guitar), and John Stroh (drums).

The DRS CD release party will be hosted by Burt’s Tiki Lounge and will also feature local heavies Black Maria, Left Brain, and SuperGiant. CDs will be available for purchase at the show for $5 each. After that, they will be available online and locally (details to follow).

The Devil Riding Shotgun album was self-financed and recorded locally at Sight 16 Studios in Albuquerque with Sid Garcia engineering. The eight songs span all of the band’s musical directions, from heavy riffing to flowing melodic passages, from moody introspection to raging catharsis. Fixico’s deeply personal lyrics add depth, humanity and emotional focus, making each song a window into a facet of the human condition.

DRS is proud to present this document to the listening public.

Like I said, we are stoked to be asked aboard. It has been a blast observing the rapid growth of Devil Riding Shotgun's repertoire and continued forward moving in the Rocking-The-Fuck-Out category. Yes, as per usual, we will be giving it our all. But this is your night and no doubt y'all will own it!
