Straight-up Rock, or a "conceptual" album?
Just wondering... (still the best) Hated (band in town)..... |

It's going to be a "Rock Opera" about a hearing-impaired, speech-impaired, visually-impaired young boy whose parents try numerous "cures" without success. Even without his senses, the boy becomes a competetive computer gamer.
The boy (who we're thinking of naming Bobby) is then miraculously & suddenly cured of his conditions while playing Grand Theft Auto and becomes a messiah of sorts to the young. The members of DRS will take turns playing the various characters in the story, so this will be the first time John & I lend our pipes to the act (unless you remember that shaky version of Neil Young's "Hurricane" that I used to shout before we had a full set). "Headphone album" makes me think of studio trickery and fiddly bits. This will be more of an "earplug album" - one to be cranked through the loudest system possible. ...DooM... |
