How was it?

Excellent! It was over two hours of hank, with about 50 minutes of country hank, 30 minutes of hellbilly, a ten minute smoke break for the band, then about 30 minutes of Assjack. The sound was great where I was standing (next to the board). The floor ended up being covered in about a half inch of broken glass. The crowd was insane! It was a great mix of hill-billy types, punks, and a random sort of stoner contingent. I left covered in sweat and beer, but there were correct portions of the two so the smell was more sweet than sour. Even some redneck chick started rubbing up against me, and though she wasn't my type, I was flattered. Long live the Hank Williams family!

The smell during some of this bigger shows now that smoking is disallowed is quite disgusting!!

While I'm sure my health may be a bit better, I would prefer to live a higher quality, though shorter, life than a longer, smellier, and less enjoyable life. The only thing I don't miss about the smoking in the bars is being bumped into by a drunkard with a lit cigarette, scortching the hair on my arm. I'm still being bumped into, but there's less searing pain. Another fun thing about the Hank show was he came out wearing a 'cowboy' hat (for lack of a better term), and when hellbilly started he put on a ball-cap, with pony tail out the back, and when he came back for assjack the hair was all down in his face and he was thrashing around like any good metal guitarist would.
