The LB promotion team somehow landed at Atomic last night. We noticed an interesting band playing. They were called Sho'Nuff, from Oklahoma.
The sound was a lot like Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit, except with two black rappers fronting it. They were actually pretty good. It was like a mini Kid Rock show with extended drum solos and even a bass solo.
The coolest part of the show was when they said- "When we say 'Who's the best band ever' you say 'Sho Nuff!, when we say 'Who rocks the hardest' you say 'Sho Nuff!'". A slightly hammered/MacGregored LB Tristian and Thunda could be heard shouting "Deeeee's nuts!" across the bar.
But it was cool. You never know what's going on at Atomic.
damnit!! In my flyering frenzy, I completely forgot Sho'Nuff was gonna be here!! I thought they were scheduled for Harlow's... Those guys are some of the coolest nicest hardest working guys in Indie music. I'm sorry I missed them.
They were cool. Even though there werent a ton of people there, they went all out with their show and looked like they were having a great time on stage.
With that said, the weekend is a great time for continued frenzied flyering. Are you guys going out?
I'm going to the State Fair and the Derby on Saturday.
Sorry I couldn't make it last night. Funds are tight in the days leading up to payday. Can I meet with you tonight? Or maybe you can email the image to me & I can print them out at home.
I was there, and despite delays getting started because of equipment problems at the get go, Sho Nuff put on a good show. The crowd was very, very small, but they still brought it.
I did'nt get the name of the second band, but they did an admirable job.
And the 3rd band for the evening, 4 Fodder? Fuck, that "wall of sound" amp setup was crazy loud!
