"Johnny Cash Tribute Night." Started off a little slow, but by 11 p.m. the crowd had gathered. No well-known bands played, but members of "old-school" scenesters from bands like Gacystick and Johnnycats (Kenta, Lucky, John Reed, Mark Armijo) were on-hand performing in various groupings, and the whole thing turned out to be one kick-ass night of rocked-up Johnny Cash tunes and old friends of the scene. Thanks to Lucky and Len for putting the ting on and to the bands for actually showing up ... as opposed to the ones who will surely drop out of the Launchpad's "Metal Tribute III" in December at the very last minute because they didn't get around to learning any shitty Dokken songs.
