Man, it was a fun show for the Betternauts, but I am sorry to say that I didn't get a chance to meet any of the other bands in the lineup. I know that the Unemploid was on the bill, and I know that they're regular contributors to RS, but last nite had some interesting shit go down....

I'm sure alot of you have been heckled before, usually by your friends, and occassionaly by some random psyco motherfucker out to get under somebody's skin. Well, last nite was the latter. The Betternauts don't respond well to negativity, that's just us. So this guy is getting shitty with us during the whole set. The rest of the crowd is digging it, this guy's being a dick. So, I'm being a dick to this guy, knowing all the while, that we're going to have a 'chat' when the set is done.

Unfortunately our drummer Bobby, caught wind of this guy's attitude and was a lot more motivated to talk to him than I was.

Bobby loads off his drum kit in about 1.5 minutes, and before anyone can say boo, chaos erupts. This motherfucker breaks a beer bottle on Bobby's face. Bobby, undaunted, is ready for action...the bouncers are trying to separate them, and the blood is flying. 10 seconds later, the bouncers and bartender have the psyco, Bobby's nose is all jacked up, and order is restored.

So anyway, I hope the rest of the bands last nite had a good time, and I wanted to say that I thought that the staff of the Golden West did a pretty good job of containing things.

We're thinking about making tee-shirts that say: "Our drummer will kick your ass"....or maybe just keeping Bobby on a leash...
