I know that this was a supposedly "exclusive invitation only" event, but goddamn if i did not see almost the entire local scene there representing!

Just wanna know if you guys had a good time, see what u thought the good and the bad parts about it was, see if you went to, what i guess the supposedly "after party" @ atomic, and if u had a good time there.

I mean I had a great time, Joe and the crew was servin drinks, went to atomic and grabbed a few beers.... even though chester from linkin park was drunk off his ass and started shit cuz someone through a piece of ice, yes ice, @ his lil "side" band while they were playing... overall it was a good time. . . what did u think of the nights party?????

Black Maria played.... I thought the vibe was cool. Nice to see a broad mixture of people. I especially liked the pole dancers!

Duuuude....put the fuckin' chronic down. How the hell can you say you were there, and NO local bands played? are you blind? Deaf? 505 was not only represented, but Fully represented by what is now, NO DOUBT the best rock band in this city; BLACK MARIA!!!


You know, when I first saw Black Maria, a year or so ago, I felt that I was watching an arena rock show. Not only are the songs powerful (and crazy loud ) but the way those guys look. You've seen 'em, you know what I'm talking about.

Last night, Black Maria was on what I would call a scaled down, arena set up. Huge stage, increadable pro sound, and a light show with fog and what seemed choriographed cues. And our men stepped right up and DOMINATED!!! The sound was huge, the guys were tight and the crowd was rapt! (except for you, Chronic ) (And when Ron Jeremy was doing his weak stand-up act, and repeatedly called them Black Moriah, our boys took the stage, and G announced that Black Moriah couldn't make it, but they--Black Maria--were there, and by the way, thanks to Todd Jeremy for the intro! Ron Jeremy seemed a bit miffed, but grabed the mike and corrected himself. In fact, at the end of the evening, I saw Ron shmoozing and laughing and taking pictures with Black Maria. ) Indeed though, I wasn't the only one talking about how hot Black Maria played and looked. They are right at home on a big stage!

Bucket Of Weenies, the "main event" were aptly named. What a bunch of weenies. Nothing but lame cover songs, excuses and poor sound quality. These fools sucked. I saw a nameless bartender throwing Camel cigarettes at the Lincon Park jerk, who freaked out and had security go after the afore mentioned gentleman. Between having to follow Black Maria's powerful set, and just plain sucking, Bucket Of Weenies was doomed from the start.

It was a fun night, and certainly more over the top than I would have ever expected in Albuquerque. I had a blast eating and gambling and checking out the roller derby derby girls, the go-go dancers (they had those girls all over the event!) the m.c. with his sword swallowing, all in all a great Monday night.

So Mr. Chronic, you were either running late, distracted by the hoochies, or unfortunatly baked, as there should be no doubt in anyone's mind, that Black Maria owned the night! Fuckin' mind blowing rock! And it's all about the rock!!!

Unfortunately I arrived too late and missed Black Maria...That sucked, but there was a crazy vibe goin on last night. A private show at the Sands Motel...It seemed like something out of a B horror flick. Overweight goth dancers...roller derby...DJ's lighting themselves on fire! It was truly a sensory overload. I was just waiting for all those hotel room doors to open and to be overrun by a swarm of hot vampire chicks.

Bucket of Weenies sucked ass. I've never been into a Linkin Park, but that band last night was crap. Just cause you're a dick don't mean you're a punk...especially when you're covering Chris Isaac tunes. Perhaps that lead singer dude needs to check himself into anger management and write some of his own tunes while he's there.

Anyway...props to Joe for hookin up the info on this event. This was by far the coolest Monday night I've seen in ABQ for a while. And...I even got a picture with Ron Jeremy. Filthy bastard.

Hey its all good, I know u were. But I do feel truelly sorry cuz i got to the party late, then when i posted this shit i was already tipped cuz it was after the party haha. But yeah, no matter what Black Maria would of kicked Bucket of Weenies ass in all aspects with there hands tied behind their back by that cute lil girl up there on stage haha
