This was a sick show at Ralli's on the Sunday before Memorial Day. Downtown was pretty quiet, but the touring bands passing through were killer. We ended up partying with them after the show at our LB Mansion and gave them a place to park their bus-like vehicles. It seems like the best bands I've seen in Albuquerque are all from out of town. If either of these bands come through again, I highly recommend them.

32 Leaves reminded me of 10 Years musically, but with a slightly better (more Mars Volta influenced) singer. They had great tone and put on a professional show with a lot of cool sound effects filling in the spots where there would normally be silence.

33 Degree really had a sound of their own- a mix of heaviness, melodic-ness, a few odd time signatures and complicated bass lines- with a possessed chick singer. Not only could she sing, she could also scream with the best of them. The bass player for this band had a huge vintage Ampeg 9x10" cab, and some great skills. All in all these guys and gal were pretty kickass. They said this was their 120th show.

Left Brain did their thing, The Ground Beneath filled the opening slot and took off not long after performing.
