First off...
Big thanks to Ryan Bl0cks for doing this at/to his house! That is 'community help' right there music fans! Hopefully many more to come and thanks for people who respected the dude's house, left after the show without bumming around, etc. Though the AKAL security dudes were a bit much...the first time in 5 years that I've been patted down thoroughly, but maybe it won't be needed next time.

On with the show:

Ipytor Gayven Machislav...best set yet from this dude that i've seen. Totally 'outside'. Sounded great..One big collage of sounds. damn.

Occasional Detroit...real punk rock..always off the wall. played a very long set because the Mae-shi were too weak to come to town. But OD never gets old. Probably the only band in town that should be playing every week.

Monotonix...insanity. If you liked Borat, then what the hell were you doing at home on Sunday night. More than a novelty, the tunes rocked! Though I have to admit, I hung out with these dudes after the show over at dcats and they were prissy fucks. Complained about the PA and $$ and other(??I don't speak hebrew) shit. Funniest part was when Ryan offered that they can sleep in his living room and they refused becaue it was too dirty. THEY'RE THE ONES WHO TRASHED IT!. Fuckin' picky brats, but they put on a hell of a show. INSANE! Show started in the living room, ended in the kitchen, cymbals everywhere...beer, V8 juice, blood?, tears,,,,,,good show!

Random shots...
I have some classic footage of occasional Occasional Detroit hypeman Mike acting the fool all night...mixing it up w/ Monotonix, nearly getting the boot from security, and doing a painful backflip off a high gravel pit in the yard.
If you missed this show, damn. Go to Friends Forever on wednesday for more of this type of shit. (Thanks to Radio Tomada for broadcasting the Monotonix show live).

I know, that was funny as shit. The singer was taking beers/V8/water out of people’s hands and just dumping them on his head, throwing shit all over. He walked into the kitchen at one point and grabbed the trash can, had 2 people in the audience hold it up and he proceeded to just run into it full speed. Old beer cans cigarette butts, food all over the place. Then he doused the floor in lighter fluid and lights it on fire. That's about the point I started looking for the nearest exit and who to run over (in George Costanza style) if the place went up.

Then after all that they say "no we don't want to stay here its too messy"

haha. yeah. sorry about the security guys. it was their idea to pat people down. i just didn't want things to become violent at any point. and that guy that they tried to boot was pissing off Ami (lead singer for monotonix).

and yes. Haggai (drummer) was really the only semi-decent member of the band. Yonotan (guitarist) was the biggest fucking baby i've ever met. "this room is far too dusty" he said. i was beside myself. Ami just didn't really say much of anything.

but yes. i hope to see everyone at the next show i have at the pad. lisa and i are in discussion about possibly doing the HEALTH show in april. we shall see and i will keep you all posted.

that is all
