Not only do they rock, but the touring bands that they've played with in the last few months, also rock. Starchild, Devil to Pay, Sasquatch (I missed Bongzilla, though). Then last night: Amplified Heat and Dixie Witch. You just can't go wrong with a Black Maria show.

Black Maria Fucking Rocks!! One of the best goddamn bands anywhere. Period. It don't matter what your style is, these motherfuckers can not be denied! I've heard the touring bands talk these guys up. Sayin shit like telling them to get the fuck on the road. I've been watchin em since they started playing out at Joe's Place and they blew everyone away then and have only got bigger! Why aren't they signed? (wake up MeteorCity!) Why don't they have a web site? What about a recording? What the fuck Black Maria? You dides fucking RULE! Get out there and show the world what us rock fanatics and wasters here in the 505 alrady know. They got the riffs, they got the rock, they have diversity...Black Fuckin Maria!! That's what I say!

yeah, bassgrrrl, i almost got hit in the head with that flying bra (not that i would've minded or anything...) but i did notice that gord stashed it in his gear.
what's amazing is that even people like me who don't like metal/doom/heavy/whatever/rock like black maria. usually i cringe when i hear a bunch of guys all in black t-shirts (or backwards ball caps). yeah, those black maria boys are a bad influence...

...Captain, I think its safe to say the guys of Black Maria are down to earth nice people all the way around. They are not portentous, they don't need scarves and they don't go around putting others down....they just like to play their style of rock and be just who they are. How can you not have a good time at one of their shows?? I don't care what kind of music you like...you will see a very diverse crowd at their shows...coming together in the name of good times, rock-n-roll and comradary..... ....smiles to you Captain America, may your flag fly high and true brutha
yeah i've never not had a good time at their gigs, even when getting crushed by moshing BFIs (big fuckin' indi'ns). gord sent me a great photo of them rockin' the rez that appeared in the native american times. solid.
