They didn't play "Was I In Your Dreams," Mike. It was a great show. The opener was the Retribution Gospel Choir, and they were awesome. I got a cd and shirt. I had no idea who the opener was gonna be, but as soon as I saw their name I was excited b/c the RGC is Alan Sparhawk from Low's side project. They played some freakin' heavy riffy rock stuff, sort of like Neil Young and Crazy Horse at their heaviest and most freaked out. They also played several Low covers, so it was like hearing rocked out versions of Low songs. Rad stuff.
Wilco was awesome, although they started a little slow in my opinion. But, they're Wilco and they can get away with whatever they want. I would've liked another or a different AM song, maybe "Box Full of Letters" or "I Must Be High," but I can't complain. Only sound issue was Jeff Tweedy's guitar was a bit too loud-2 Vox AC-30 combos and an AC-30 head, so I couldn't hear Nels as much as I'd wanted. But, I certainly got my $35 worth. That is probably the most talent you'll see on a stage at a rock concert these days. |

he did indeed. the man was a master. the whole band was just on top of it. ive been thinking about the show ever since friday trying to recollect every moment. i see why people see them 3 nights in a row or travel to see their shows. total professionals all around with ....
some top notch pro gear. i was in the second row for that show and was just blown away by the musicianship of tweedy cline and sansone. the opening band like maury said was playing heavier stuff, and i wish i caught more than one song. the song i saw was making me melt away into my seat and i was thinking holy fuck great voice great tone and sound . really just one of the best rock shows i have ever seen. leads? ya we got leads, they got us working in shifts |

I went with my wife who is a huge fan of wilco. I'm not really familiar with all their music but I think they write great songs and I thought it was a great show. The sound was very good and they played a LOT of songs (2.25 hours!) They def. brought the energy level up at the end of the show. I wish we had been a bit closer. Hey IROC Mike, how'd you get such good seats??? My wife bought the tix thru the fan club (but they aren't always the best seats) I was amazed by how many freaking guitars they had. I swear they had the roadies bring out a new (different) guitar for practically every song. They must have been traveling with 30+ guitars!!! I also missed the opener. (they must've started right at 7!)
