I've never been a TOOL fan and i don't really like to listen to their disjointed dark and creepy music but I got talked into going to see them live and holy shit was that show last night mind-blowing!! That was one of the most psychedelic and intense visual shows I have ever seen. The only thing I can think of to compare it to is getting abducted by aliens.
I'm having a hard time believing that their drummer is human. He was really bad ass.... too good. The band is technically very very good but the music is just too technical and complicated for my tastes. It's almost uncomfortable for me to listen to them. I would def. see them again tough (with a head full of psychedelics) Their show really takes you on a mind trip and you forget where you are and what you are doing because everything around you visually and sonically is so intense. Tingley is truly a fucking dump though. On the way out it was fucking raining wet and muddy everywhere and none of the lights were on (even in the tunnel) it was dark as shit and really ghetto. Did anyone go to the Social D show? |

Danny Carey is the Niel Peart of our generation, when the Peart dies off, Carey will be held king of the beat. Unfortunatly, I did not get to see Tool this time around, but they do kick ass and it's still one of the best show's I have ever seen, next to Pearl Jam at Tingley, 1995, and Pantera at UNM stadium, 1994.

I could'nt believe how hard Carrey was pounding on those drums...fucking intense!!! Hard to believe he just had surgery like a month ago. Overall that was a great show...I was diggin on the lasers

2 totally different types of music, Carey is the best in rock, Beuford is the best in, ummm, whatever DMB is considered. They are both great for sure, but I would go as far as saying, "blows him out of the water". But yeah, cant compare!
