This little burque bands fieldtrip was a fuckload of fun. Really, we should do shit like that more often. I can't believe how many people from town actually came up there! Getting STUPID drunk in the Anesthesia room and watching them trash their hotel room like true rockstars was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Those boys are are so metal and my belly still hurts from laughing so hard on Saturday night.

Also, Gators is a great venue. The place is HUGE (holds 600) the the sound system kicks ASS!!!

Hell Yeah!!

A Big THANKS to you, WebMonkey, for putting all of this together! All the band involved have been wanting to do this for years. You made all of our procrastination a reality. Like Anesthesia, we had a room with four queen size beds, a full size refridgerator and a humongus microwave. We cooked an entire turkey in it before the gig. It was that big.
Everything WebMonkey said was true....it was a great fucking time. Having so many bands and fans in the same motel (we basically took over the whole joint) made for some of the best post gig activities ever. People wandering from room to room, partying, having fun and all sorts of bonding. Like Summer Camp and the Freshman Dorms with massive amounts of booze, drugs, fun and good times. Oh yeah, a bunch of our Native fans from the Rez where there at the motel too. It was almost surreal to be partying hard and then have them chanting, singing and performing mini-healing rituals for many of us.

Probably our favorite moment was around 4:00 am, when the Anesthesia crew, totally bum-rushed our room. They had removed a giant mirror from the wall of their room, placed it between two of our beds, and while we sat/laid there in a dumbfounded, stoned, drunken stupor, they whip our a length of hose they lifted from the washers or something, and procede to make the final moments of Scarface seem like a Disney film! Fuck Yeah!!

This sort of mini-touring with multiple bands needs to happen more often! Gators was really nice, the sound system was killer (did you remember to tip your soundman?) and I had one of the best 'last call' experiences in a long time...
