The bill was Orion/My Freudian Slip/Ishen Tree/Scarless......

Caught the last few tunes of orion and the band was pretty good for a couple of young kids, their bassist kicked ass, great bass lines.....Almost had a "Tool" kinda sound......

"MFS" always rock, but they must be one of the loudests bands in town, I'm glad they finally got a singer, they did a cover of a Silverchair song that kicked ass.....

Ishen Tree, did their thing with the reggae/rock/punk and metal....I hope next time my guitarist won't forget his main amp and not bring his practice amp......I couldn't hear any guitar....But it was alright though, we drudged through.

"Scarless" played last and kicked serious ass! They blew all of us away....They have the look, persona, prescence, equipment and great songs.....I must say, they have to be atleast in the top 5 bands in the state....

Like always, Misty's staff was cool, a good crowd, got paid right after our set and all the bands stuck around to show support.....

I hope that some of the bigger named bands can make it up there and put on some kick ass shows.....Thanks to Shawna for booking us and asking us back again for a few more shows..

Did they have a PA? Big Lips and the Skinny is playing there on the 10th with the HOllis Wake. I'm wondering if I have to rig some damn fool crazy, two guitar amps with some mixer and a shitload of cables together...I'd better start noW

What's up bro,

Yes, they finally have a P.A. 2 Monitors and 2 main cabs.....
I believe the Mixer had 8 Channels, but I'm not 100% sure....

Since our guitarist didn't bring his main amp and brought his little practice amp we tried to plug his guitar amp through the P.A. and it just wasn't loud enough.....Vocally I heard everything fine.....

As long as you use the P.A. for vocals and mic'ing the Kick drum and amps its loud enough.....But if your band is planning on plugging instruments directly into the mixer it won't work very well...

The first time we played there the sound guy did mic the amps and it came out clear and loud enough for everybody.....

Since the bar is large the volume carries all the way back to the pool room in back.....So what they have is very adequate for their space.

I would bring a few extra mic's and Long cables because the sound guys mixer is off to the side of the stage on a table and they have no snake, so everything has to go directly into he Mixer....Over all the sound guy did do a good job over all with everybodies mix.

But over all Misty's is a very cool place to play and the staff is cool as well......Lots of parking out front and loading in and out from the alley has been a breeze.....They have a small parking lot behind the bar so u can park your vehicle back there without being hassled......

Hope that helps out!

John
