Ahoy, Sailors!

Just for the sake of making an announcement and sounding officious, I would like inform those of you that may not be aware of it, but this band, Holiday Sail, has a mixtape of demo, studio and live recordings available to listen to and download. It's only $5.00(US) and over 78 minutes long. Right now the only place to get it is on MusicFreedom.Com. I think you have to be a member to get it, but joining is free and we have a couple of free downloads on there as well. Eventually, we'll have it up on a number of sites for download, but for now MusicFreedom.Com is where it's at (and at five bucks, what the heck are you doing still reading this? go buy it!).


So, it's finally come to this...

We're heading to the studio in the next month or so. Finally. Once more just in case your eyes glazed over while your brain tried to comprehend the news; Holiday Sail is finally heading to the studio. I didn't believe it myself at first. Everyone is gung-ho on getting these tunes turned into a glass master and pressed onto some clear, chemical goop. The lucky winner in dealing with my neurosis for awhile is Carlos of The Ya Ya Boom Project. Carlos will be Engineering and Co-Producing the soon-to-be-award-winning album. My bet's on a "Best Song in Film" Oscar. Back on topic, the soon to be recorded album (without giving too much away) will feature local guest musicians and remixes by other producers. Also, I'm looking for a stringed quartet that works cheap. If you have any leads on that, have them email us (holidaysailATgmailDOTcom).


And lastly...

We're probably going to fall off the radar for awhile, until the summer. We're trying to plan a possible summer tour while recording so there's going to be a shortage of HS sightings in all your favorite music places as we'll be strapped for time. Fear not though, brave traveler, once we hit our stride you'll wish we'd been planning a world tour. But feel free to invite us to your events, house parties, personal family gatherings and ritual-sacrifices. Especially, if that ritual-sacrifice comes with a free meal.


Seriously, one final note.

Holiday Sail would like to extend condolences and our best towards the Staff of The Golden West Saloon. The Staff there was making the G-dub a fun place to hang out in again. And now it's a pile of charred rubble. It will be missed and hopefully, at some point, rebuilt. Or something built to do it justice.
